Cancelling Premium

Premium is bought inside the app, which means it is bought from Apple or from Google — and only they can cancel it. Not because we won't: because the store holds the subscription and never hands us the switch.

Where it is

There is a shortcut in the app. Profile → Manage subscription opens your subscription list in the store you bought from. If you'd rather go straight there, it's the same page:

  • iPhone and iPadapps.apple.com/account/subscriptions
  • Androidplay.google.com/store/account/subscriptions

Find Vurna in the list and cancel there. You do not need to tell us, and you do not need to delete anything.

What cancelling actually does

It switches off the automatic renewal. It is not a refund, and it is not an immediate shut-off: you keep Premium until the period you have already paid for runs out, and then it simply stops. Nothing further is taken. The stores' own rule is that the cancellation has to land at least 24 hours before the period ends to stop the next charge, so don't leave it to the last hour.

If you're still on the free trial

The trial runs seven days and belongs to the store, not to us. Cancel any time before it ends and nothing is charged — that is the store's rule, not a promise we're making on their behalf. Cancelling during the trial doesn't cut it short either; you keep Premium until the seven days are up. Two days before the end, the app sends one quiet reminder so the date can't creep up on you, and Today carries a card saying the same thing. Doing nothing is what continues the subscription; that is stated in both places rather than left for you to work out.

You paid and Premium isn't showing

Open the Premium screen and tap Restore purchases. It asks the store what your account owns and switches Premium back on if it finds it. If it answers "Nothing to restore on this Apple ID", you are almost certainly signed in to a different store account from the one that paid — it's the store account that carries the subscription, not your Vurna account. If it says the store didn't answer, that is a network hiccup and worth trying again in a minute.

Refunds

We never take the money and we never see a card, so we cannot give it back — the store took it, and the store refunds it. Ask Apple or Google directly. If they turn you down and you think that's wrong, write to support@vurna.app with the date and roughly what happened, and we will look at it with you.

Deleting your Vurna account does not cancel your subscription. This is the expensive mistake, so it is worth saying twice: the store isn't told that you left, and it will keep charging. Cancel first, then delete.

If a payment fails

The store opens a grace period and Premium keeps working while it retries the card. How long that lasts is the store's setting, and it differs between the monthly and the yearly plan. Nothing else changes at our end, and we don't email you about it — the store does.
